General Flight Information
When We Fly
We offer flights year round, weather permitting. But because we require the winds to move us through the skies, balloonists only fly when the winds are at their calmest. Gentle winds are found at sunrise and sunset, therefore we meet for morning flights a little before sunrise and for our evening flights we meet about 3 hours before sunset.
Where We Launch
We will choose a launch site which meets your needs based on convenience, what you would like to see, your desire to fly with other balloons, and other safety factors. Some of our common launch areas are in North Fulton, Gwinnett, Duluth, and Snellville.
How Long It Lasts
Mosts flights generally last around 45 minutes to an hour, but we always make our decision when to land based on safety. The entire experience lasts between 3 and 4 hours; this includes the balloon setup, launching, he flight, landing, packing up the balloon, returning to the meeting spot, and the champagne celebration.
Champagne Celebration
After each flight we commemorate the adventure with a Champagne Celebration (we offer a choice of either alcoholic or non-alcoholic sparkling beverages). Your pilot will explain the origins of ballooning and it's celebration while we all enjoy the drinks, food, and fellowship.
